Dogs.

I realized today that one of the things I’m missing the most is the affection of dogs. In normal times, whilst out on a walk, I would cross major intersections just to get my hands on a dog. Today was a beautiful day and I passed quite a few people who were taking their pups out for a stroll. But now there is sort of an unspoken rule that we must not stop to chat, to acknowledge each other beyond a simple greeting, or to pet the fur children. There was one in particular who gazed at me and seemed to wonder why I wasn’t approaching him though I’m confident that there was an understanding between us. I certainly hope so.
